Animal lovers know the advantages of living with pets: they enrich our lives in every way and bring countless positive things to our daily lives. They not only keep us company, but they also help us forget about work when we get home and feel in a better mood. Although every idyll has a "but," and this is usually related to hairs and smells, today we are going to tell you how to share a flat with a pet and keep the house spotless.
WHAT SHOULD WE TAKE INTO ACCOUNT WHEN KEEPING OUR HOME CLEAN ?
AT LUCNH TIME
Putting a mat under the feeder and drinker that we can put in the washing machine regularly is the solution to keep the floor clean. Select a specific place in the house where the animals can eat and drink quietly, and that is preferably not a passage area or the kitchen, since they can leave food remains, hair, or splash water with their whiskers.
AT BATH TIME
We must bathe our pets with specific products for them. Our dogs do not need to bathe as often as we do, since doing so removes the natural protective layer of their fur. If you have doubts and want to be sure of the most convenient frequency of your pet's bath, consult the specialists of the canine hairdressers.
IN THE TIME OF HAIR SHEDDING
One of the worst moments when we are living with a pet is shedding, so the need for cleaning multiplies. How to clean loose hairs? It is advisable to brush your pet frequently, trying to do it in open places and isolated from the rest of the house. In this way, it is discharged at once, and it does not loosen the hair little by little. After brushing, use the vacuum cleaner for sofas, floors, and other surfaces at least twice a week. So you can go wild!
SAY GOODBYE TO BAD SMELLS
One of the most recurrent questions of people who live with animals is: how to eliminate pet odors? The most important thing is to be aware that a pet is an animal and has its own smell, which we will not be able to eliminate completely, one of the characteristic odors of our pet is breath.
So that the smell is not concentrated, you have to pay special attention to the areas of the home that they frequent the most, such as places where they sleep, eat or play. Ventilate those rooms, both in winter and summer, and thoroughly clean these areas at least twice a week using an odor neutralizer based on enzymes, which also work very well to remove urine and stains. Caution: it is very important not to use ammonia-based cleaning products, as their smell is similar to urine and can stimulate them.
Use products specially indicated for pets, since many of those that we use at home on a regular basis could be toxic for our animals.
CLEAN FLOOR WITHOUT FINGER PRINTS
There are special wet wipes for when they return for a walk, clean the paws at the entrance and thus prevent them from giving off dust and dirt. When it comes to going out when it rains, you should put a dog raincoat on them, this way they will come less wet. Also, having a couple of dry towels ready on rainy days when they come from the street is very TOP! so they don't leave little marks all over the house. And speaking of "footprints" throughout the house, the dogs that are not sterilized yet will need to be protected with a special hygienic slip during their mating season if you do not want them to leave droplets wherever they go.
And one last tip: be patient! Let's not forget that we are living with an animal, it all comes down to having good planning and the use of suitable products.
